Sprecher Wins at the U.S. Open Beer Championship | MadTable

sprecher wins at beer championshipSprecher Brewing Company has taken top-10 honors at the 2012 U.S. Open Beer Championship in Atlanta. The championship is known for inviting craft breweries as well as home brew teams to participate.

The Glendale-based brewery, which operates a restaurant and pub on Madison?s west side, took took 8th overall in the competition.

The brewery won individual medals for the following brews:

Gold Medal Beers

  • Sprecher Black Bavarian,?Schwarzbier
  • Sprecher Dopple Bock,?Dopple/Strong Bock
  • Chameleon Witty,?Belgian Wit

Bronze Medal Beers

  • Sprecher Hooligan,?English Pale Ale
  • Sprecher Kriek Lambic,?Belgian Lambic
  • Sprecher Winter Brew,?Munchner Dark/Dark
